McGregor’s clash with the former lightweight title challenger - which will be a welterweight affair - will be his first outing since losing his UFC 229 grudge match with Khabib Nurmagomedov last October.

White somewhat agrees with that notion, telling Jim Rome: “He’s at the point of his career right now where a win is a must and he is taking it very serious.
“We actually talked yesterday and he is in great shape, ready to roll and every excited about this fight."
Come fight night, it will have been 15 months since McGregor last set foot inside the Octagon.
The Dubliner, 31, hoping to return to his active ways in 2020 - setting his sights on fighting three times next year.
